What an Expert Advisor does
An Expert Advisor applies programmed instructions through a compatible trading environment. Those instructions can cover conditions for entries, exits, position management, protective stops, and session filters.
Automation is useful for consistent repetition. It does not mean the software understands every market event or can guarantee that an order will be filled as expected.
What it depends on
The result depends on correct installation, compatible software, broker execution, stable connectivity, suitable settings, and the market conditions encountered while the system is active.
- A compatible platform and account environment
- Accurate settings and responsible position sizing
- Reliable connectivity and continued monitoring
- Current software and update instructions
What it cannot remove
An Expert Advisor cannot remove losses, gaps, slippage, outages, changing liquidity, unexpected volatility, or human responsibility for account exposure.
A user must still understand when the system should be paused, updated, reviewed, or removed.
